In the last remaining lights of your rock n roll stage show Stills the heart, thickens the blood, as you face the crowd below, They're no longer singing hook lines as your tune takes its last gasp, They are faceless, they are earless, and this song will be your last. I'd fuck this All over, For love this World over, Crawl deepest In acid, Your love is Pathetic Light our darkest hour.... Fuck this place up Oh measure Measure the weight of your perception By your words and their effect on the resurrection of love and pain And devotion, the child like vision of a lost world in motion I see through, see through to your star strung gut Reveal the hidden universe no longer deep 'neath the silk chic Of your desert milk skin, now a brilliant libertine You drift on a carousel of emerald green sheen I await, I await the forbidden dream Reborn on the weaving words that rise in my throat They say i am just the blood that would drag from the black cunt of venus Be spit from a split lip or slip from the slit body of a madman For the thirst for the thrust for the victory for the thrust For the suck of the breath of a stranger To with pressed finger map the endless waves of imperial spirit Influx of sonic impulse Divine rhythm impulse Divine rhythm impulse Find your divine Find your divine shake, shake, shake, shake it baby shake, shake, shake, shake it baby shake, shake, shake, shake it baby shake, shake, shake, shake it baby Shake it baby!! Now I know why you've been shaking... FUCK THIS PLACE UP the trend is dead...

Stabby Joe's Diary - Entry #1
-------a recording studio sometime in 2006-----
Tam from Glass Shark had just arrived with Jimmy to sit in on the recording of nate_seacourt's debut E.P 'We Are...'. They seem non-plussed by what they are hearing. Although it is only 2pm, Daniel and Nathan are already out of their minds and laughing at not really anything in particular, and Sam (producer) is wondering why his free time is being wasted on these guys, but it will account to more studio experience so...
Up to this point, Daniel and Nathan have been playing the live music circuit for a few months, bagging a few of those live gigs with Glass shark, and their live shows are on such a level of (drunken and drugged up) surreality that audiences are generally confused but mostly angry to the sub bass noise and various audio segments being played in a 30 seater pub in the back end of Cornwall, that it is a rare occasion that someone understand what they're up to (thats where i came in, in a gig in Redruth...it was like watching a horse being burnt alive while it giggled, horrible, scarring, but strangely couldn't keep my eyes and ears away from the horrfic nature of what was before me).
Anyway back to the here and now. The guys are trying to record a song called 'Kid Commando'. The song deals with a world that send small children off to fight wars and the training they receive means that when they go out to play with other kids they are violent to the extremeties only seen in Vietnam biopics. So hard hitting stuff. the tune is great too...like a mixture of Idioteque and postal Service. the problem is something isn't quite right. Tam from GS, pops into do some vocal (out) takes with Daniel and they both fall about laughing. The thing Daniel and Nathan don't (or rather in their state can't begin to fathom) realise, is quite simply put forward by Tam:
"I don't get it. You guys are all about having as much fun as humanely possible. You spend most of your time out of your heads, and you're possibly one of the funnest bands to be around. But when you hear you're music, it doesn't show any of that...I don't know..funnness. It would be great for you guys to play music that just shows what you're like not on the stage or near a mic"
Idea born I think. Within a few minutes of Tam and Jimmy's departure, Nathan and Dan had written Hot 97.1 (the number after a readout on the mixing console in front of me) all about a man ingesting rohypnol and trying to go out on the pull, like its a good thing. The drugs and alcohol had taken effect and bought uncontrollable giggles and collapse as a track was attempted at recording and a new band and sound was born...
I sit across now from Nathan and Daniel as they try to figure out how to make each track as awesome as Hot. They are talking of trying to sex up the war friendly Kid Commando (the track from earlier). Daniel says words that will no doubt be followed up on for centuries if not weeks:
"But how do you make war sexy?"

----------------------------------------------------------------------

As one can see above from my first diary entry, 'War Is Sexy' has been 4 years in the making. Finally an answer to the age-old question philosophers have theorised over since dust decided to manifest itself into living organisms and conceive the idea of free thought... 'What do you get when you mix distopian electronica, dance beats that inhabit your soul for eternity, earthshaking metal and enough low end sub-bass to self-combust the secret Iranian nuclear facility just outside Tehran?' Yep, you got it. They just didn't know it was called 'War is Sexy'.

Years of fine tuning, long hours, ecstatic live shows, random chemicals, white noise, bruises, strange realities that apparently never existed, missing time, extra-terrestial experimentation and a long, long, long, long month in a desert somewhere that we're still not sure of the location, have lead to the final production of this extremely anticipated album.

From the opening call to arms of the sirens on 'How To Make War Sexy', through the pounding dance and bass solo of 'Glita', on to the filthy, slut, filled dirty love and crushing ending of 'Thr33', spinning into the dark world of lust, unknowing, and synth bass of 'Wings', stopping for a quick drugged up, rohypnol filled night at a dark dirty club, wandering out of your mind in 'Hot 97.1' and ending in the only way possible; 'Unicron Stoned'. Best described by Daniel in March 2010:

"Well, its based on a huge robotic planet eating transformer, that gets fucked on a planet full of weed, and you can sure understand what those munchies are going to be like. We as a band travel inside his stomach, and he decides that all other music on planet Earth is so fucking terrible, he will intimidate all bands to stop playing terrible fucking music by scaring them shitless with his bigness. He then gets so happy listening to our tune playing inside his belly, that he tries to make the entire human race jerk off or die, and decides to eat the entire planet as he’s so fucked at this point after his mid song ramblings about cunts and desert milk skin. We then as a band are the only human act left in the universe…and that can’t be a bad thing"

This is War Is Sexy. Finally.
